WXI2026 is a large IV/66 Rieger concert organ installed in Wuxi Symphony Hall. Wuxi is a city halfway between Shanghai and Nanjing, and a famous holiday/resort location.
The 1,500-seat hall is part of the Wuxi Symphony Hall Complex, designed by the New York firm of Perkins Eastman, and opened in late 2025. Except for some stop names in German, additional octave couplers, and the flamboyant facade, the specs are quite similar to that of the Rieger organ in Nantong (NTN2021).
The Wuxi organ was inaugurated on 6 June 2026 by Yuan Shen, Professor of Organ at CCOM. Another recital is planned for 19 July, to be given by Olivier Latry. The Project is grateful for the information and photos, courtesy of Shanghai Pi Organ Industrial.
