Census IDCNK1929
LocationChongqing, St. Joseph's Cathedral
BuilderUnknown, but apparently French

In the same year in which CHD1929 was installed, there is a report of a service on 26 April 1929 in St. Joseph’s Cathedral in Chongqing (Chungking), accompanied by “the organ – not just a harmonium – though perhaps a bit worn out and dusty…” This establishes that there was such an instrument there, but no more is known about the builders, the size, the specs, or the dates of installation of these two instruments.

Chongqing was an Apostolic Vicariate from 1924, and there is a slight implication that CNK1929 was significantly older than CHD1929.
