HKG2025a is a 4-rank continuo organ with 5 voices and 8 stops built for St. John’s Cathedral, Hong Kong. Despite its small size, it is notable as the first pipe organ to be installed in the Anglican Cathedral in nearly a century (see HKG1927a). The Cathedral’s crest is placed on the front and side panels of the organ. The manual slides into the organ case when not in use.

The 8′, 4′, and 2′ organ stops are divided into Bass and Descant (at c1-c sharp1.) The mutation rank is divided between a Quint and a Nazard. The keyboard manual is transposing, at A440 and A415.

The specs are:

Manual (C-f3)

Coppel 8′

Flute 4′

Principal 2′

Quint 1 1/3′ (Bass)

Nazard 2 2/3′ (Descant)

Organ builder Cealwyn Tagle (r) and a colleague show that the organ is truly ‘portative’.
